Each of our guest rooms on the second floor are appointed with private baths en suite. On the first floor, the Mary K Suite offers an adjacent full private bath that is shared by only those two rooms. There is also a Powder Room located on the first floor for general guest use.
The check-in window is from 4-6 pm daily. If you need to make arrangements for an earlier or later check-in time please contact us in advance. Failure to communicate a late arrival could result in a $30 late check-in fee.
Check-out is no later than 11 am. Please inquire in advance to request a late check-out.
Breakfast is available from 7:30-8:30 am daily. Requests for a full breakfast outside of this window will be considered on a case-by-case basis. An “on-the-go” continental option is always available in lieu of the full breakfast option with advanced notice.
Yes, we have a bike rack inside our locked garage with 24/7 key-pad access available for your convenience. There are also air pumps and tools on hand for guest use.
Each room is subject to a $35 non-refundable cancellation fee. There is a 50% deposit required at the time of booking. Deposits will be refunded less the $35/room fee for cancellations made 14 days prior to check-in. Cancellations made within 14 days of the reservation will only be refunded if the room is able to be rebooked.
We love animals, but unfortunately DO NOT allow pets at Smith House Inn out of respect for guests who may have allergies or aversions. However, our sister property Stonewood Lodge is located a block away and is pet friendly. Nemacolin Wooflands is also a great option for boarding your furry friend while visiting the area.
Due to the seasonal nature of our business we are not able to offer any discounts.
There are no guest accessible laundry facilities on premise at Smith House Inn. Liberty Laundromat is located within walking distance in the town square directly behind the Turkeyfoot Valley Historical Society building.

Arrival & Departure: Check-in is from 4 PM – 6 PM; checkout time is no later than 11 AM. Please contact the inn for early arrival & late departure requests. Late arrivals without proper notice will be subject to a $30 late check-in fee.
Occupancy: All rates are based on double occupancy; one additional guest may be accommodated in the Cunningham Suite at a surcharge of $50 per night. We are unable to provide discounted rates for rooms with single occupants.
Taxes: PA sales tax 6% | Somerset County local lodging tax 5%
Minimum Stay Requirements: Minimum stays are never required.
Rates: Rates are subject to change without notice. Weekend rates apply to all holidays.
Payment: A 50% deposit is required at time of booking with the remaining balance charged to the card on file the day of check-in.
Parking: Free street parking is available in front of the inn. There is also parking by the garage via the alleyway on the left of the inn.
WiFi: We offer complimentary WiFi to all of our guests. Please be advised that Verizon and AT&T are the only cellular service providers in the area.
Damages & Smoking: Guests are responsible for all damages to inn property. Smith House Inn is a smoke-free property. There will be a one night lodging fee plus a $200 cleaning fee incurred if smoking occurs inside the inn.
Lost Keys: There is a $50 fee for any key not returned. Please leave your room key in the room door at time of checkout.
